The Catholic Home Study Service
provides free pamphlets and correspondence courses about the Catholic faith. The committee maintains a board at the Council hall with many of these pamphlets and coordinates appearances of the Board at nearby parish festivals. The RIB board appeared once again at the All Souls Festival. In addition, proceeds from the 50/50 drawing at every Council meeting support the RIB, and the Council has met 100% of its quota to support the RIB for the last several years, including 2006 - 2008. Meanwhile, 236 pamphlets were been distributed to Council members and the community in the 2006 - 2007 fraternal year.
Audio podcasts
of the 30 pamphlets in the Luke E. Hart series, from the Catholic Information Service, are now available. Please note some of the music is provided by our very own
Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis Choir.

The All Souls Round Table is comprised exclusively of members from All Souls Parish, and is dedicated to performing church service activities around the parish designated by the pastor.
In June, 2008, numerous members helped set up, cook, and work at the All Souls Parish Festival. In addition, members painted and repaired the Christ figure on the crucifix above the altar and other statues at All Souls.
In March, 2008, members assisted in preparing the sanctuary for the Easter liturgy.
In December, 2007,
Trustee Charlie Blair,
Deputy Grand Knight Gary Heberer,
Past Grand Knight Bob Ortmann,
and
Grand Knight Joe Poelker
put up the lighting to illuminate the Holy Spirit in the canopy over the altar at All Souls. Members of the Round Table also assisted with decorating of the sanctuary for Christmas, and the take down of the decorations.

The Vocations Committee coordinates the Council's participation in the Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP) and stays in contact with the seminarians the Council has supported.
At the May, 2008, meeting, the Council voted to provide a vestment gift to Rev. Mr. Sam Lee, upon his ordination.
At the August, 2007, regular meeting, the Council announced that Mrs. George Jacobs has set aside the chalice she received from the Fourth Degree Assembly on George's passing for archdiocesean seminarian James Holbrook upon his ordination.
Please pray for James, all the candidates for the priesthood, and for an increase in vocations. Watch
Fishers of Men,

Archdiocesan Office of Vocations.
