Family of the Month

	Family of the Month Every even month, the Council recognizes the contributions of a particular family over the intervening period by bestowing the Family of the Month Award. Recipients receive a certificate from the State Council, and are eligible to be selected as the State Family of the Month and be featured in the Mariner, the newspaper of the Missouri State Council; and be selected in a random drawing from among the winners at the Supreme Council level of an elegant sculpture of the Holy Family. Recipients are also eligible for selection as Council, State, and Supreme Council Family of the Year, the latter two of which receive an all expense paid trip to the respective convention. The June, 2008, Family of the Month is the Jim Keithly Family. The April, 2008, Family of the Month is the Scott Wolosyk Family. Scott joined the Council in May, 2006, and in the last two years, has become an active and valued member of the Council. In November, 2006, he married his wife Connie. Scott is a Marine veteran. Since joining the Council, Scott has participated in the Trivia Night, Poker Tournament, and the Tootsie Roll Drive, and has chaired the Free Throw Contest the last two years. The January, 2008, Family of the Month is the Gary Heberer Family. The August, 2007, Family of the Month is the Jerry Wolosyk Family. Since receiving his First Degree in January, Jerry has been a very active member of the Council. Jerry is especially active in Council events, and can frequently be seen at our monthly barbeques and youth mixers. He plays summer softball and also coaches his daughter Cassandra's softball team. His wife Donna has been a leader for the Girl Scouts. The Wolosyks are also active in All Souls parish, helping out at the annual Parish Festival in June. They enjoy attending sporting events, local standbys horseshoes and washers, camping, fishing, woodworking, and bike riding, as well as celebrating their extended family ties. Jerry's family was also one selected by the Supreme Office to receive a statue of the Holy Family. Congratulations, Jerry!
