Membership Activities

The Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting and retaining members, as well as advancing them to the higher degrees of the order.

The Shining Armor Program is a program for first year members which awards them for participation in the Council. The requirements are to attend three Council meetings and three Council activities, receive the Third Degree, meet with the Field Agent, and recruit one new member. Recipients are awarded a special lapel pin and certificate.

The Retention Committee is headed by the Deputy Grand Knight and additionally comprised of the Trustees. It is responsible for contacting members more than 45 days in arrears, encouraging members to remain up-to-date with their dues, and offering the Council's assistance.
